Assemble your charts in record time

You create your chart simply by dragging and dropping objects from the toolbar and the libraries.

Every object comes with a list of properties that you can change with a click or two, or by bringing its property sheet. Typical properties are:

Size and position
Background and foreground colors
Style (for example Normal, 3D, Sunken, Raised), shadow style, etc
Anchor snaps (more about this later)
Pen width
Rotation angle
Layer, if you are working with multiple layers, etc.

Commonly used properties are grouped on toolbars, so that they are always at your fingertips.

Save time by re-using your designs

Now comes the fun part. Draw Magic includes many libraries to speed up your design. However, no matter how many libraries are there, you will always have unique needs.

Meeting your unique needs is where Draw Magic truly excels.

How? By allowing you to quickly and easily create libraries with your own objects, and then simply re-use them by drag-and-drop.

To create a library item, just drag a drawing (or a part of a drawing) of any complexity to an open library. Draw Magic will use your drawing to automatically create an icon for it (you can always edit the icon later, or specify another one).

To insert a library item into your chart/drawing, just drag it from the library.

To make things simple and easy to handle and maintain, you can group any number of objects together into a single object.

If you wish to edit individual elements of your grouped object, just un-group it.
If you are happy with your grouped object, you can turn it permanently into a single object, called a symbol. It does not get any simpler than that!

Easily connect your chart objects

Linking the objects in your chart is straight-forward: you just click on the connector type you need on the toolbar, and draw a link.

By default, each object has a number of points, called Anchor Snap Points, to allow you to connect to other objects. When you move the object, the links move with them. Line connectors stay in place, and smart connectors move out of the way automatically to avoid being obstructed by other objects.

This is what you would expect from other good charting programs, but as you know, Draw Magic has been designed to cater to your individual needs, which sets it apart from all competitive products. For situations when you need to define your own snap points for linking with other objects, Draw Magic makes it easy to add new ones, change their position, or delete them.
