JavaScript ForumOperating since 1998, JavaScript Forum at C Point has been one of the oldest and most respected on the Internet. Unfortunately, it has also been targeted by spammers, turning the forum maintenance into a full-time job. On two occasions hackers used vulnerabilities of phpBB (which was powering JavaScript Forum) to launch malicious processes, forcing us to briefly close the site and weed out the nasties. Because of this, it has become increasingly difficult for us to operate JavaScript forum. In the end, after operating it for a decade and a half, and with tens of thousands of posts, we decided to close it down rather than risk compromising the security.
