JavaScript Editor Downloads

Here you can find the additional components to extend the functionality of JavaScript Editor.

Please note that some of the downloads previously available from this page are now part of the JavaScript Editor setup.

JavaScript vector-draw library

How many times you wished if you could only draw an arrow on your web page? Or few lines here and there? Unfortunately, HTML offers nothing in this department, and using images takes bandwidth and slows down the loading of your page.

Courtesy of Walter Zorn, you can now use JavaScript to draw objects on your web pages.

Click here to download the JavaScript vector-draw library (6KB) under LGPL license

Update to JavaScript Syntax Check

Previously (version prior to JavaScript Editor v7.0 build 6) JavaScript Syntax Check was operating only on your .js files and selected JavaScript code within your web pages. This update allows you to easily syntax check JavaScript islands on your web page:

Hold Shift and click on Syntax Check (or press Shift+F8). This directs Syntax Check to look only at the code between the <script ...> .. </script> tags.

If you select a piece of code, Syntax Check operates only on the selected text.
If nothing is selected, Syntax Check operates on the entire text.

Spell checker dictionaries

Download and install additional language dictionaries for German, Dutch, Swedish, French, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, and more than 40 other languages. Click here to go to the dictionaries download page.

JScript.Net support

Purpose: compiles JScript.Net applications and libraries

Download: now available as part of JavaScript Editor download

Compile JScript.Net applications and libraries

Run compiled console applications with the output displayed in JavaScript Editor's Output pane

To access:

Select Automate / Install Additional Components from the menu
Select Compile JScript.Net applications and libraries and click Install

Note: JScript.Net compiler creates the .exe file and places it in the same folder with the script being compiled. To run it, select Tools / Run compiled app from the menu. If you have compiled a console application, JavaScript Editor can capture its output and display it in the Output pane. To run a compiled console application, select Tools / Run compiled app (Use Output pane) from the menu.

Browser support component

Purpose: allows you to view web pages in different web browsers

Download: now available as part of JavaScript Editor download

Context-sensitive help

Purpose: allows you to add context-sensitive help for various scripting and programming languages

Prerequisite: the compiled help file (.chm file) for the language being supported

To access:

Select Automate / Install Additional Components from the menu
Select Context-sensitive help and click Install

Note: compilers, interpreters and other tools often come with their own .chm help files. Invoking the command opens the .chm file and uses the word under the cursor to locate the corresponding entry in the help file, providing you with the context-sensitive help.
