Spark your documents
with image and resource capturing...

What you see on the screen can be "captured" as an image. Why would you want to capture anything? There are three powerful reasons:

Your documents will be much more appealing if you illustrate what you are talking about, and
Original documents may come in HTML, DOC, PDF or any number of other formats, so just using parts of them is very difficult. You need images for your illustrations.
Capturing is an excellent way to create animations.

Of course, you can always press Print Screen to copy the content of the screen to the Clipboard. However, what you can see on the screen can vary so much that Print Screen is useless except for most basic capturing.
There will be instances when you will want to capture:

With or without the mouse cursor

Area, which can be in different shapes: rectangle, triangle, round-rectangle, ellipse, polygon, or freehand - in which case you simply draw to mark the area you want to capture

Client area (the document-only part of the application)

Active window

Window under cursor

Full screen

Object (button, toolbar with all the buttons, menu, list box, combo-box, and many others)

Menu under cursor

Mouse cursor

Wallpaper on your desktop

You can really have hard time when you are trying to capture small, tightly packed objects. You will find it very easy with your Animator because:

Cross-hair allows you to draw with precision
You can see the area magnified, and
Coordinates are always there for precision capturing

Finally, capturing is great when you wish to save an event unfolding on your screen as an animation. There are three mechanisms that greatly simplify this process:

Multiple individual captures. With this option, each time you press F11 (or some other trigger that you specify), capture will take place.

Multiple automatic captures. This way, you can automatically capture anything you see on the screen as a set of images, at specified intervals.

Smart capture (auto-paste). You will love this option, which allows you to use Draw Magic (part of Animator) or any other drawing program, to create an animation. Each time you copy an image of certain size to the Clipboard, Animator will automatically add it as an animation frame.

This allows you to create animations without ever leaving your favorite paint program, be it Draw Magic, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or something else!

Smart capture (auto-paste) for vector images (metafiles). Do you have Corel Draw or another vector program? How about Excel, Powerpoint, or other Office programs? With one click you can animate automatically from any program capable of sending vector drawings (metafiles) to the Clipboard.

You can create animations straight from your favorite programs - this feature is unique to the Animator and adds greatly to the value of your existing applications...

...and you can even capture "hidden" resources!

Programs (.exe files) and Dynamic Link Libraries (.dll files) contain resources such as images, cursors and icons. With one click you can see the entire list of resources embedded in .exe and .dll files. With another click, you can capture the resource you want.

Put your digital camera or scanner to a better use...

If you have a TWAIN-compatible devices such as a scanner or a digital camera, it probably came with the software to capture the images. However, images will almost always require some retouching such as color adjustments. With the Animator you do three things from the same program:

Capture from scanners and digital cameras
Retouch images to to make them perfect, and
Animate the images with a vast array of special effects.

...by retouching your images to make them perfect!

You need to retouch photographic images to adjust the colors, brightness, or intensity. Of course you can do all this using the Animator, and more - adjust contrast, hue, saturation, gamma and color balancing, sharpen the image or do anti-aliasing.
This improves your image, but with the Animator you can really make your images interesting by applying some of the huge array of special effects:

3D effects: punch, ripple, bending, cylindrical, spherize

Artistic effects: impressionist and oilify

Distortions: freehand wave, wind, polar, zoom wave, radial wave, swirl, wave, shear

Many, many many more...

It would take too much space just to list all the effects you can apply to an image, let alone describe all of them. I can just tell you that using special effects turns your imaging into a fun factory.

Other imaging programs may force you to apply an effect, then undo the changes if you are not happy with them, and try again. A very tedious process. You will appreciate the preview built into ALL image effects, which allows you to see in real time what will happen to the image as each of the options is changed.

The fun part is, you can apply a special effect to an image, and then turn it into an animation. This amazing feature is so easy to do and the results are great-looking animations. All you have to do is:

Select the effect, select options, make sure you are happy with the preview, and
Specify how smooth the animation should be.

That's it! The program will calculate all the in-between stages, all the twists, turns, and distortions, and generate all the frames for you and insert them into your animation. You can literally have professional results in seconds.

The same principle applies when you want to make a transition from one scene within your animation to another:

You select the first and the last frame
Select the effect, and
Specify how smooth the animation should be.

Run Animator from other programs

If you need to create animations on-the-fly, you can run the Animator from the command line or from other programs, by specifying an .ini file with the job description.

When Animator gets the job to do, it will open up, create and save the animation (or convert files, or combine them into bigger ones, or extract images or sounds...), and close down automatically. You will get the animation you need even if there are errors (for example, if some of the images are corrupt or do not exist) - the Animator will not stop and throw an error message, but just make an entry into a log file and continue.

You will no longer have to do any mundane imaging jobs - the Animator automates in an intelligent way everything that can be automated.
